Confessions of Victoria Jackson’s Lover

Today’s special guest is none other than, drumroll please, my husband of 20 years, Paul the cop!  Paul is not comfortable being on camera, but he did me a favor and came on the show.  I knew he would be funny and deep.  As you can see, we don’t have much in common, except religion and politics, which are the two most important things in a marriage, probably…and, the “overlap.”  I hope you enjoy this glimpse into the ever-challenging institution of marriage, the way God intended it – a man, a woman, friendship, intimacy and forgiveness.

How appropriate to have this discussion the day before Valentines Day! I can’t decide if Paul is the “Luckiest Man in the World” or the “Smartest Man int the World.” Ok, he’s both! Happy Valentines Day to both of you.

Aw! Loved it! I met my husband in 7th grade as well! It didn’t take us quite so long to be reunited later.. He moved to another state while we were in High School, we kept in touch, and a few years after high school (and a few not-so-great dating experiences for both of us) we finally got together – almost eloped, but decided to plan a wedding. It is awesome how God works things out! God bless you and your marriage and your ministry.

Victoria, My wife and I are a little older than your husband so we saw the sixtiex crumble. He hit the nail on the head on thepoint of us loosing our spirituality. Right and right. Yet I put the blame directly on the Christian church, and its leaders and all Christians. I was ther when Mary Madeline O’Hair forced prayer out of schools and the church was silent. I was ther for Roe V Wade, and the church was silent. I was their for gay rights and the church was silent, I was there when PrezLBJ said, oh you women have all the chitlins you want and the guvr will pay for it, and the church cheered YAY11 we can keep all the money build big churches and the govt will feed everyone…. Do you see mine and your husbands point?????

Victoria and Paul you are such a fun couple. I love a man that loves God and realizes what is important.

This demonstrates how two very different people can build a solid, lasting relationship. The fact that you both have a terrific sense of humor helps, I’m sure. May God bless you with many more years of overlap.

Opposites attract and what beautiful opposites. May God continue to bless your wonderful marriage.
